Men's Ministry

One of the most difficult, yet rewarding areas of ministry at North Side involves our men. The Men's Ministry goal is to see the "man" make significant lasting contributions at home, in his career, at church and in his world. We believe that the only method to accomplish this goal is through vital relationships.

For a man to impact his world he must be in a vital, growing relationship with his Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. We at North Side are committed to helping each individual man strengthen that relationship first and foremost. We provide him with the opportunity to meet weekly for prayer and breakfast with other men of like mind and commitment, here at the facilities. Many of our men have formed small accountability/prayer groups outside the confines of our walls, to help their relationship with Christ grow, while developing vital relationships with other men.

To win men to the Lord, as fully devoted disciples of Christ, connecting with other men of the Guard, strengthening them in their faith and assisting them in fulfilling their purpose and destiny in living through serving God, family and in the world by fulfilling Christ's Commission and Christ's Commandments.

Our men's small groups are designed for participation. The issues most men deal with in our culture today sometimes necessitates help and encouragement. An environment of support, confidentiality and openness is fostered at all times. We're convinced that through relationships, we can strengthen and help one another. "...grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus". The end result is winning men to faith in Christ and point other men toward Him as we learn together what it means to follow Him.

Our vision is to provide a platform through various Men's Ministry events and interest to provide a way for all men to connect through an atmosphere of accepting men where they are and as they are. We attempt to model submission to Christ in our life and have a teachable heart.

COOK-OFFS/COOKOUTS
Invite men and young guys to come, eat some wild game and hear our speaker.

VOLUNTEER CHRISTIAN BUILDERS
Offers opportunity to grow in Christ through fellowship and to be involved in mission efforts, near and far.

DISASTER RELIEF
As catastrophes hit, we have a group of trained responders.

GOLF TOURNAMENTS
Awesome opportunity to play golf with other men.

DISCIPLES LIFE GROUPS
meet with other guys at various times to enjoy fellowship and study the Scriptures weekly.

MENTORING MEN (Men of Encouragement) Every man needs to be encouraged and to also learn how to be encouragers in life's experiences.

From time to time we offer opportunities geared toward equipping men to a more healthy, spiritual lifestyle. Those activities include, small group Bible studies, joining with other men in the Parker County area for times of prayer and worship, attending Promise Keepers conferences and seminars.
