What a joy it has been to witness the addition of so many new families at North Side. From a pastor’s perspective it is a bit of a mixed bag of blessing and frustration. It is such a blessing to see so many new faces and yet it is frustrating to not have the opportunity to get to know them all personally. I am so grateful to our several pastors and ministers who keep in touch with individual families through their care and instruction. My longtime colleague, Bro. Gary, is an amazing minister to the musicians and my faithful assistant, Bro. Keith, seems to know all those who have come through the Connection Class and their kids.
Have you noticed how small our big church feels? A common statement from both visitors and new members to North Side is, “I didn’t think I would be comfortable in such a large church but was surprised to find I don’t feel that way at all here.” Over and over we hear the stories of how people made them feel welcome from the minute they walked in. Bibles study groups are growing, ministries are expanding, and people’s lives are being changed through the ministries of our church. “We are North Side!” has never been more obvious than when you observe the great things committed people are doing to serve Christ though this fellowship. Sit back and look through this brochure and learn more about our great church and its vision and mission. It’s just a great time to be a part of the fellowship called North Side!
You need to know something ... you are blessed to be ministered to by a great group of people. I treasure the family spirit that exists at our staff level and pray it will spill over to all who come to North Side. It’s a special place.
In His love,
Van N. Houser, Pastor
