Foundation for the Future | FAQ’s
The building fund works together with campaign gifts to help us meet our current obligations. Once our obligations are met, we will use the additional funds to meet the goals listed on the Overview page.
Yes we will. These offerings will help us to secure the additional one-time gifts needed and allow for additional pledges as well.
The initial gifts received will be used to fund construction of the parking lot first, so we should be able to begin construction right away.
The campaign officially begins on “Ingathering Day,” September 13, 2015. This is when we will receive pledges and our first round of one-time gifts. Additional pledges and one-time gifts will be sought at each 5th Sunday Offering.
A pledge is simply a commitment to give a certain amount over a two-year period. In the chart above we have provided a monthly guide, but pledges can be fulfilled in any manner that works for the donor, annually, semi-annually, etc. Pledge cards will be available prior to September 13, and will be collected on Ingathering Day.
Of course, a building gift or Foundation for the Future campaign contribution can be made at any time.
Not necessarily. Building Fund gifts are still needed to meet our current obligations. This campaign simply gives our church body an opportunity to participate in a more guided, goal-oriented way. However, on Ingathering Day you will be able to indicate your current building fund giving on a pledge card. This will allow us to account for these gifts as we tabulate the results of the campaign.
Yes, please do. This will helps us greatly with our compilation report for the church. The pledge card will provide a space to indicate that your gift is a one-time gift, and not an ongoing commitment.
Absolutely. The listed amounts neatly add up to our goal amount, but gifts of any size are welcome and needed to make our goal.
