NSBC COVID-19 Update

Thank you for understanding the difficulty of making a decision on how we can safely return to worship on campus. Aside from the divisive media coverage surrounding the pandemic and sometimes conflicting opinions over various safety precautions, we have the very real responsibility to protect the most vulnerable in our congregation and community.

With that in mind, we are trusting you as individuals to make wise decisions about your safety and the safety of others around you. We are not just a group, we are a body, a family really, and families have a responsibility to care for one another.

  • As we worship on campus this weekend, all staff, leaders, and volunteers will be wearing masks. In addition, we are encouraging everyone joining us for worship to wear a mask while entering, exiting, and moving about the building.

  • In addition, we are requesting that masks be worn in classrooms and other spaces where social distancing cannot be achieved. This applies to all adults, and children who have finished 5th grade and older.

  • We are also asking you to social distance within the Worship Center, allowing for two seats between your family and others around you, and not sitting directly in front of or behind a family in the adjoining row. Those who arrive early will assist greatly by moving to the center of the row, leaving the ends open for those who come later.

These measures will help us to ensure the safety of those who chose to worship with us in person. As always, this is your choice and all our online worship options will be available for those who are not comfortable joining us in person at this time. Following these safety procedures will help to ensure that we can continue to meet in person for worship and Bible study.

As we encouraged you before, if you do not feel well or have any underlying conditions, please stay home, and join us for worship online.  We also ask that anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or who has been exposed to a person who has tested positive to please refrain from coming to in person worship until your quarantine period has passed.

Finally, it is important for us as an organization to be transparent with those who are on our campus who may have been exposed to coronavirus.  If you begin to show symptoms, or test positive after attending worship or Bible study, please let one of our pastors know.  We will promptly inform other families of their potential exposure, while protecting the identity of the person reporting their positive test result.

Additional guidance for preschool childcare registration, and pickup and drop off procedures has been provided to preschool parents. Our students in K-12 classes do not need to preregister at this time.

Thank you for being part of the NSBC family.  We love you and look forward to what God has for us in the future!
