Join us this fall as we kick off a new Good Neighbor emphasis that will empower you to connect with and show love to the people in our neighborhood and yours.

Our Neighborhood (NSBC) | October 27th

On Sunday, October 27th, we’ll gather at North Side for a light supper in the gym at 5:00pm, then go door to door to visit, pray, and pass out candy to our neighbors around the campus.  Please visit this link or stop by Guest Services to register so we can plan accordingly.

Your Neighborhood | October 28th-31st

Looking for fun and practical ways to be a light in your neighborhood? Here are a few ideas to get you started. Don’t forget to pick up a bundle of NSBC Kindness Cards in Guest Services to add a special touch to your activities. If you live in a more remote area, we encourage you to team up with friends or members of your Bible Study class to serve in a nearby neighborhood.
Prayer Walk Your Neighborhood - Take a walk with your family and pray.
  • Pray for safety and opportunities to share the love of Jesus, especially on Halloween night.
  • As you walk, focus on specific homes or areas, lifting the families who live there in prayer.
  • Engage with your neighbors, offering to pray for or with them.
  • Consider making prayer walks a regular family practice to grow relationships and create more opportunities for Gospel conversations.

Pass out Candy and Kindness Cards on Halloween Night - Pass out NSBC Kindness Cards and candy to trick-or-treaters. It’s a simple way to share God’s love while participating in the fun of Halloween.

Host an At Home Trunk or Treat – Team up with neighbors, friends, or Bible study classes and decorate your car trunks or a table in your driveway.
  • Hand out candy and NSBC Kindness Cards to visitors as you enjoy the festive spirit in your own neighborhood.
  • You can set up in the yard, or driveway, and host others who have the same heart for ministry.

Throw a Fall Block Party - Partner with neighbors, friends, or Bible study classes and throw a fall block party in your neighborhood.
  • Set up yard games for everyone to enjoy.
  • Offer cold water, grilled hot dogs, and chips to your guests.
  • Pass out candy and NSBC Kindness Cards to spread kindness and connection.
