Spring Creek Church Adoption
In the spring of 2025, leaders from NSBC met with the leaders of Spring Creek Baptist Church (SCBC) to begin praying about a long-term relationship between our churches. After walking through a challenging season and the loss of its pastor, SCBC received preaching support from NSBC throughout the summer in partnership with the Parker Baptist Association.
By mid-summer, the NSBC Executive Team presented a draft adoption proposal to the leaders of SCBC. While we didn’t know what the Lord was up to, we were encouraged to see growing enthusiasm around the idea. By the end of July, SCBC’s leadership agreed to host a town hall event where Pastor Jim and Pastor Keith shared the vision and answered questions. The event was well received, and a vote was scheduled for later in the summer.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the members of Spring Creek Baptist Church voted to accept our adoption proposal. This triggered a series of events at NSBC, including another town hall meeting and a vote by the membership. Once again, the meeting was well received, and the vote was a resounding “YES” to move forward with the adoption proposal. On Sunday, October 5th, NSBC began leading both worship and preaching, and on Sunday, November 2nd, a launch team of more than 40 people from the North Main Campus began worshiping full-time at the Spring Creek Campus.
Looking ahead, plans include completing needed renovations and officially launching the Spring Creek campus later in the summer of 2026.
